Once upon a time there was a rat living in a forest, One day, the rat was wandering around his house, The rat saw some peanuts lying on the ground somewhere in the forest. The rat picked up a peanut and ate it with gusto. A lion was sleeping nearby. The lion woke up to the sound of rats chopping peanuts. The lion said angrily, “Who is it that woke me up?” Fear the rat, brother, forgive me, my noise opened your eyes. The lion was still angry. He pressed the rat into the pan and said, “You have ruined my sleep. The rat was frightened when he heard this and murmured, “Brother Sher, let me go.” I will not make such a mistake again۔ Hearing this, the lion felt pity and the rat thanked the lion, he said, “You have treated me well today. Maybe one day I will be able to help you.” The lion laughed when he heard this, he thought he was so small and timid, what will help such a big and brave animal. But the two became friends and the rat walked towards his house. The next day, the rat went to visit his friend the lion. When he reached there, the rat saw that the poor lion was badly trapped in a hunter’s trap. Despite many efforts, he could not get out of the net. The rat immediately reached the lion and said, “Brother Sher, don’t worry, I will help you.” Then the rat started biting the net with its sharp teeth, As soon as he saw it, the lion was freed from the net. The lion said to the rat, “Dear friend, thank you very much for saving my life.” The rat said, “A friend is only a friend.” Then the two friends shook hands and went for a walk in the forest.
Moral: A friend is a friend. Children, this story teaches us that we should not consider anyone less than ourselves, no matter how young or old, strong or weak, we are all equal and all are our friends.
ایک دفعہ کا ذکر ہےکہ ایک جنگل میں چوہا رہتا تھا ، چوہاایک دن گھومتا گھومتا اپنےگھر سے دو آنکلا، چوہے کوجنگل میں ایک جگہ زمین پر پڑی ہوئی کچھ مونگ پھلیاں نظر آئیں۔ چوہے نے ایک مونگ پھلی اُٹھائی اور مزے سے کھانے لگا۔ پاس ہی ایک شیر سو رہا تھا چوہے کی مونگ پھلی کترنے کی آواز سے شیر جاگ گیا، شیر نے غصے سے کہا یہ کون ہےجس نے مجھے نیند سے جگایاہے چوہا ڈرتے ڈرتے بولاشیر بھائی مجھے معاف کردیں میرے شور مچانے سے آپ کی آنکھ کھل گئی، شیر ابھی بھی غصے میں تھااُس نے چوہے کو پنچے میں دبایااور بولا تم نے میری نیند خراب کی ہےتمھیں سزا ملنی چاہیے، چوہا یہ سُن کر گھبرا گیااور گڑگڑا کر بولا شیر بھائی مجھے جانے دیں، میں آئندہ ایسی غلطی نہیں کروں گا۔ یہ سن کر شیر کی دل میں رحم آگیااورچوہے نے شیر کا شکریہ ادا کیااور کہا آپ نے آج مجھ سے اچھا سلوک کیاہے ہو سکتا ہےایک دن میں بھی آپ کے کام آسکوں۔ شیرنے یہ بات سنی تو خوب ہنسااس کاخیال تھا اتنا چھوٹا اور ڈرپوک ساچوہااس جیسے بڑے اور بہادر جانور کی کیا مددکرے گالیکن دونوں نے دوستی کرلی اور چوہا اپنے گھرکی طرف چل پڑا۔ اگلے دن چوہا اپنے دوست شیر سے ملنے گیاوہاں پہنچا تو چوہے نے دیکھا کے شیر بیچارہ کسی شکاری کے جال میں بری طرح پھنساہوا ہےبہت کوشش کے باوجودجال سے نکل نہیں پا رہاتھا۔ چوہا فورا شیرکے پاس پہنچا اور کہا شیر بھائی آپ پریشان نہ ہوں میں آپ کی مدد کروں گاپھرچوہے نے اپنے تیز دانتوں سے جال کو کترنا شروع کر دیادیکھتے ہی دیکھتے شیر جال سے آزاد ہوگیاشیر نے چوہے سے کہا عزیز دوست میری جان بچانے کا بہت شکریہ چوہا بولا دوست ہی دوست کے کام آتا ہے۔ پھر دونوں دوستوں نے ہاتھ ملایا اور جنگل کی سیر کے لئے نکل پڑے۔
نتیجہ: دوست ہی دوست کے کام آتا ہے، بچوں اس کہانی سے ہم کو یہ سبق ملتا ہے کہ ہمیں کسی کو اپنے سے کم تر نہیں سمجھنا چاہیےکوئی چھوٹا ہو یابڑا، طاقت ور ہو یا کمزورہم سب برابر ہیں اورسب ہمارے دوست ہیں۔
