Competent Authority Word is used in official documents, the position and name of the authority should also be mentioned, Supreme Court of Pakistan. In accordance with the directions issued by the Hon’ble Supreme Court of Pakistan on December 30, 2021 in Civil Appeal No. 62-K of 2021 arising from Civil Petition No. 407-K of 2019, all government (federal and provincial) entities, including statutory, semi-government, and autonomous organisations, are required to ensure that wherever the words “competent authority” are used in official documents, the designation and name of the authority are also indicated to prevent confusion.
