Government of Pakistan issued a Notification regarding Revision of Basic Pay Scales and Allowances of Civil Servants of the Federal Government 2026
The Ministry of Finance, Government of Pakistan, has issued the official Office Memorandum regarding the Revision of Basic Pay Scales and Allowances of Civil Servants of the Federal Government 2026.
According to the notification issued on 21 July 2026, the Federal Government has introduced the Basic Pay Scales-2026, replacing the Basic Pay Scales-2022 with effect from 01 July 2026.
Highlights:
- New Basic Pay Scales-2026 introduced.
- Effective from 01 July 2026.
- Existing employees’ pay will be fixed on a point-to-point basis.
- Annual Increment will continue on 1 December.
- Ad-hoc Relief Allowance-2026 @ 7% of running Basic Pay.
- Previous Ad-hoc Relief Allowances (2022 & 2025) have been merged into the new pay scales.
