The Federal Government is please to enhance rental ceiling for hiring of residential accommodation in Federal Ministries / Divisions/ Attached Departments/subordinate Offices at Islamabad and other specified stations i.e. Rawalpindi, Karachi, Lahore, Quetta and Peshawar as under with w.e.f. 1st November, 2025.
Notification: Revision of Rental Ceilings for Hiring of Residential Accommodation at Islamabad.
The Government of Pakistan has increased the rental ceilings for government housing in Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Lahore, Karachi, Peshawar and Quetta, effective 1st November, 2025. This revision raises the rent limits for all Basic Scales to match current market rates. The new ceilings apply to all new hiring, cases where employees pay extra rent from their own funds, and expired lease renewals providing relief to government employees facing higher housing costs.
